6.3 Securing the Storage Server
After verifying that the storage server is functioning properly, secure the system by closing the
rear door and locking it with the keys provided with the storage server.
Hard Disk Drive No Light Indicates no hard drive activity.
Flashing amber light Indicates hard drive activity.
NIC Port 2 No light Indicates the port is not connected.
Steady green light Indicates the port is connected.
Flashing green light Indicates network activity.
NIC Port 1 No light Indicates the port is not connected.
Steady green light Indicates the port is connected.
Flashing green light Indicates network activity.
Overheat No light Indicates the service processor
temperature is normal.
Steady red light Indicates the service processor
temperature is overheating.
