3.2.1 General Control and Help Commands
Table 3-2 shows the general control and help commands that you can use to view help text
online while using the InForm CLI.
Table 3-2. General Control Commands
Command Action
cmore Pages the output of commands. Valid syntax for using
this command is
cmore <command>.
exit Terminates the program.
help –search <topic> Lists all commands or details for the specified topic.
Specifying
–search <topic> allows you to search
command help by topic. Use this command when
running from a system’s native shell.
clihelp –search <topic> Lists all commands or details for the specified topic.
Allows you to search command help by topic.
help <command> Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all
help text for the specified command. Use this command
when running from a system’s native shell.
clihelp <command> Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all
help text for the specified command.
clihelp –col <command> Display column help (when applicable). See 3.2.2
Commands with Column Help on page 3.7 for a list of
applicable commands.
<command> –h Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all
help text for the specified command.
