shutdownsys The –f option has been removed, requiring users to
provide confirmation before the command will be
executed. In addition, system and host information
will be displayed to allow users to assess the impact
of the operation before proceeding.
Copy Services
Virtual Copy A maximum of 256 writable virtual copies per
volume is now allowed.
A maximum of 2048 virtual copies per volume are
allowed.
A maximum of 256 writeable virtual copies per read-
only virtual copy is now allowed.
creategroupsv New –retain option provides the ability to specify a
minimum retention time for a group virtual copy.
New –exp option provides the ability to specify
when a group virtual copy will expire.
New –comment option allows for annotation of
virtual copies.
createsv New –retain option provides the ability to specify

The command has been enhanced to allow users to
specify a set of volumes to be copied or
synchronized rather than a single volume. The
destination of a copy can also be a volume set, or
can take a pattern as input that is used to generate
the names of the resulting virtual copies.
