InForm OS Version 2.3.1 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes
Software showfirmwaredb The syntax of the –i option has changed. The option
no longer requires a filename, but instead will use a
file path.
showversion ■ The output of the showversion command has
changed. The GUI Server component is no longer
displayed since this component is no longer a part of
the InForm OS.
■ The deprecated –gpv option has been removed.
setsys ■ New CopySpaceReclaim subcommand enables the
system to reclaim unused snapshot space.
■ New RemoteCopyOldPort subcommand enables or
disables listening on the old TCP port 3491. By
default Remote Copy Links now listen on both IANA
registered port 5785.
■ New VVRetentionTimeMax subcommand provides
the ability to set the maximum retention time for a
volume. The default is 14 days. To disable setting the
volume retention time in the system, enter 0 for
VVRetentionTimeMax.
System showsys ■ The output of the showsys –param command has
changed. New parameters, CopySpaceReclaim and
VVRetentionTimeMax are now displayed. See the
setsys command for details on setting these
parameters.
■ The output of the showsys –space command has
changed. A new row is displayed that indicates the
amount of space that is unavailable due to a disk
being set as unavailable for use for creating
volumes.
■ New –remotecopyoldport option displays the TCP
port currently used by Remote Copy.
