3PAR InForm Operating System 2.3.1 Release Notes (320-200178 Rev D, May 2010)

2.17
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes
40156 Blade Servers AMD ESX 3i hosts lost
access to VLUNs.
Sometimes, a command to the iSCSI adapter
that timed out could result in a resource leak.
Over time, this could result in the adapter port
running out of resources and hosts losing access
to volumes exported via the adapter port.
This has been corrected by accounting for the
timed out command correctly and resetting the
adapter port if a resource leak is detected.
40446 Memory leak in SNMP agent caused
it to fail.
A defect in code that allocates memory for
inbound requests could cause the SNMP agent
to leak memory.
40869 CIM Server fatal error while
processing SLP request.
The CIM Server was halting with a fatal error
when receiving an invalid URL from a remote
client. The code has been changed to reject the
URL, but not halt the server.
40988 Incorrectly zoned RCFC
configuration results in a controller
node restart when the RCFC link
goes down.
There was a race condition bug in the Remote
Copy over Fibre Channel (RCFC) transport
software that could sometimes cause a
controller node to go offline when handling
the RCFC link going down due to incorrect
Fibre Channel zoning.
41149 Host performance degradation due
to the 3PAR Fibre Channel Adapter
initiator port issue.
There was a bug in the 4-port 4G Fibre Channel
adapter firmware in initiator mode that can
very rarely cause the port firmware to not
respond to certain commands in a timely
fashion. Over time, this could result in the
adapter port not carrying any I/O to disk drives
connected to it.
This has been fixed by resetting the adapter
port if the condition is detected.
