3PAR InForm Operating System 2.3.1 Release Notes (320-200178 Rev D, May 2010)

2.13
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes
36041 Remote Copy over Fibre Channel
(RCFC) had double node failure.
Under certain error conditions, the 4-port 4G
Fibre Channel adapter used for Remote Copy
over Fibre Channel could stop transmitting
packets, resulting in controller nodes going
offline when pending commands timed out.
This has been fixed in the firmware for the
fibre channel adapter.
36049 Controller node panic when the
RCFC port persona changed to disk
persona and back for 2GB RCFC
ports.
If the port persona of a Fibre Channel port was
changed from 17 or 18, which are used for
Remote Copy over Fibre Channel (RCFC), to the
disk persona 0 and back again to an RCFC
persona while the port was still connected to
the other InServ Storage Server to which it was
associated for Remote Copy, sometimes the
controller node would go offline. This occurred
only with the 2 GB Fibre Channel adapters.
36259 TOC server restart during disk drive
replacement.
Relocation of chunklets resulting from the
servicemag command run during disk drive
replacement could cause a restart of the TOC
server.
36461 Resource (XRI) leak with the 3PAR
Fibre Channel Adapter, firmware
version 1.30.A.6.
If a host sent a Fibre Channel LOGO command
to a 3PAR FC044X Fibre Channel adapter port
without the port having a record of the host
having logged in, it could result in a resource
leak in the adapter firmware. This could
sometimes occur if the adapter port was reset
with hosts logged in. If this was repeated many
times, all resources in the adapter could be
exhausted over time, resulting in the adapter
port becoming completely unresponsive.
This has been fixed by correctly handling
LOGOs from hosts that had not logged in.
