The code was optimized to improve response time.
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 36041 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes Remote Copy over Fibre Channel Under certain error conditions, the 4-port 4G (RCFC) had double node failure. Fibre Channel adapter used for Remote Copy over Fibre Channel could stop transmitting packets, resulting in controller nodes going offline when pending commands timed out. This has been fixed in the firmware for the fibre channel adapter.
3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes 36597 InForm OS Version 2.3.1 Batteries near expiration prevent Batteries in the expiration warning period were battery testing. being treated as expired batteries when testing batteries. This prevented them from being tested and lead to them being marked degraded/unknown once 3 weeks from the most recent test had elapsed.
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 37568 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes Failed 3PAR Fibre Channel Adapter A failed 4-port 4G Fibre Channel adapter could causes the InForm Management sometimes result in commands on the InServ Console to take up to 20 minutes to Storage Server taking a long time to complete populate InServ Storage Server as the adapter driver tried to communicate to data. the unresponsive adapter firmware.
3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes 38093 InForm OS Version 2.3.1 SCSI reservations should not be Some long-running system operations such as blocked by the system manager dynamic optimizations for large volumes could configuration lock. occasionally result in SCSI-2 reservations not being handled in a timely manner, and VMware ESX hosts seeing high IO latencies. This has been fixed by handling SCSI-2 reservations more efficiently even while the system is busy with long-running operations.
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 40156 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes Blade Servers AMD ESX 3i hosts lost Sometimes, a command to the iSCSI adapter access to VLUNs. that timed out could result in a resource leak. Over time, this could result in the adapter port running out of resources and hosts losing access to volumes exported via the adapter port. This has been corrected by accounting for the timed out command correctly and resetting the adapter port if a resource leak is detected.
3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes 41341 InForm OS Version 2.3.1 Network controller process can Due to a timing issue netc can terminate when terminate when attempting to it is in the process of switching the admin switch the admin interface between interface between nodes. nodes.
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 42323 3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes The servicehost list command If the number of old hosts remembered (as could fail due to results being too shown by servicehost list) grew extremely large. large, servicehost list and servicehost remove would fail. The system has been enhanced to automatically remove these in standard situations to help prevent this list from growing too large.
3PAR InForm Operating System Release Notes 43868 InForm OS Version 2.3.1 InForm Management Console The power supply OK events were mishandled falsely reports both controller nodes by the system manager, which led to the as degraded.
