6 After the AIX host completely boots and is online, connect additional paths to the Fabric or
the 3PAR disk storage system directly by completing the following tasks.
a On the InServ Storage Server, add additional paths to the host definition already
created. Use the InServ CLI command
createhost -add hostname WWN to add the
additional paths to the defined InServ host definition.
b On the AIX host CLI, execute the cfgmgr command.
c Verify all paths appear on the InServ Storage Server by issuing
showhost -h aixhost.
7 To add the additional paths to the boot device configuration, choose one of the following
methods:
Issue /usr/lib/methods/cfgefscsi –l fscsiX on the AIX CLI, where X is the
additional path’s FC SCSI controller protocol device.
OR
CAUTION: Do NOT connect the AIX host to mixed HBA types on the Inserv
Storage Server when using a direct connect mode.Boot failures or missing paths
may result. Use only like HBA types on the InServ Storage Server.
