The following example uses the CHAP secret (CHAP password) host_secret3 for the ESX
host. The CHAP secret must be at least 12 characters long.
2. On the ESX host VI/vSphere client, select the Configuration tab, and then click Storage Adapters
under the Hardware pane. Select the iSCSI Software Adapter and then select the Properties
link.
For ESX 3.5, select the CHAP Authentication tab, and then select the Use the following CHAP
credentials radio button.

For ESX/ESXi 4.x or ESX/ESXi 5.x, select the Use initiator name check box.
