Power Supply Numbering
Cabinets are divided into lower and upper power domains containing drive cages or controller
nodes with dedicated power supplies. The drive cages and controller nodes depend on the power
supplies located at the rear of the system to supply power from the PDUs.
When viewing the rear of the cabinet:
• Drive chassis power supplies in both the upper and lower power domains are numbered: 0
through 3 from left to right (“Numbering of Power Supplies Within the Power Domains, 3–Phase
PDU Systems” (page 54)).
• Each controller node requires two power supplies. The power supplies in the lower controller
node chassis are numbered 0 and 1 from left to right. The power supplies in the upper node
chassis are numbered 0 and 1 from right to left.
