HP 3PAR Service Processor Software 4.1.x Release Notes (QR482-96666)
SPOCC display issue with Chrome (Issue 87610)
The SPOCC interface is not displayed correctly when Google Chrome is used as the browser. This
occurs because Chrome is not a supported browser.
For a current list of supported browsers for SPOCC, see the Single Point of Connectivity Knowledge
for HP Storage Products (SPOCK), located at http://spock.corp.hp.com/spock/index.aspx.
Users should be able to re-run Storage System Setup Wizard (Issue 84161)
The Storage System Setup Wizard may fail or hang before you start the “Set storage system network
configuration” step. In this case, you cannot start the wizard from the beginning or resume the
previous session.
Workaround: Reboot the SP.
Discrepancy in displaying the status of SPcommctlr procedure (Issue 87632)
If there are networking issues, the SPcommctlr process will stop, but it does not restart correctly
when the SP code tries to restart it. When the SPcommctlr process stops, you may receive
notifications.
Workaround: Reboot the SP.
Unable to add DNS via SPOCC and also not prompted for domain name (Issue
88187)
Currently, users cannot modify the DNS configuration of the SP by using SPOCC.
Workaround: Use SSH access and the command line interface in the SPMaint utility to modify the
DNS configuration.
SP Setup Wizard spins on “Set date and time” in the Setup Progress page (Issue
86785)
On the Setup Progress page of the Service Processor Setup Wizard, the “Set date and time” step
appears to stop responding.
Workaround: Refresh the page.
Error message in SPOCC: “Server isn't responding with test results despite 20 tries.
Please try again” (Issue 88936)
SPOCC does not behave as expected when the file system is full. For example, you may experience
the following issues:
• You receive a Server isn't responding with test results despite 20 tries.
Please try again message.
• The validate readiness process does not work.
• You see a blank screen.
Workaround: Remove old files (including logs, InSplores, and SPLORs). To do this, in SPOCC,
click SPmaint, click SP Control/Status, click SP Clean-up, and then click Remove Old Files. In the
<IP_address> needs some information dialog box, enter the number of days from the creation of
the SP after which you want to remove files. For example, if you enter 0, all files dating back to
the day that the SP was created will be removed. If you enter 12, files that were present after the
12th day following the day that the SP was created will be removed.
Help workflow causes SPOCC to exit (Issue 88630)
In SPOCC, when you click Help, click Documentation feedback, and then click Home, you may
receive the following message:
