Performing a File Copy Restore
If you are performing a Point of Failure file copy restore, be sure to complete the following
prerequisite tasks before initializing restore:
• Ensure that there is at least one virtual copy of the database available or create one before
performing the restore operation
• Ensure to always select the latest virtual copy when performing a point-of-failure restore
• Do not use third party tools, including SQL management studio, to create database backups
or transaction log backups
• Verify if the database is online and visible under the Instance
1. Locate the Virtual Copy Management timestamp at an Instance or Database level in the left
pane and right-click.
2. Select Restore Using→File Copy.
