Appendix A, Configuring the PID Format

In Table 100 on page 441, change the entry for FC8-48 and FC4-48C blades to the following:
Under the heading “Setting up F_Port trunking” on page 443, change the fourth sentence in the
first paragraph to the following:
The Brocade 300, 5100, 5300, and 8000 platforms support a trunk group with up to eight
ports.
Appendix A, Configuring the PID Format
Under the heading “Summary of PID formats” on page 526, change the third bullet to the following:
Core is the default for Brocade 200E, 300, 3250, 3850, 3900, 4100, 4900, 5000, 5100,
5300, 7500, 7600, and 8000 switches, Brocade 24000, and 48000 directors, and
Brocade DCX platform. Core is the recommended format for Brocade switches and fabrics.
It uses the entire 8-bit address space and directly uses the port number as the area_ID.
Under the heading “Swapping port area IDs” on page 538, change steps 3 and 4 to the following:

Enter the following commands:
portdisable port1
