Under the heading “Overview of the firmware download process on switches” on page 178, change
the first sentence to the following:
The following list describes the default behavior after you enter the firmwareDownload
command (without options) on Brocade 200E, 300, 4012, 4016, 4018, 4020, 4024, 4100,
4900, 5000, 5100, 5300, 7500, 7600, and 8000 switches:
On page 179 add the Brocade 8000 to the list of switch models in the procedure heading at the
top of the page.
Chapter 8, Administering Advanced Zoning
In Table 54 on page 204, add the Brocade 8000 to the list of switch models in the first row of the
table.
Chapter 10, Routing Traffic
Under the heading “Static route assignment” on page 244, change the first sentence of the third
paragraph to the following:
Static routes are not supported on the Brocade 300, 4900, 5100, 5300, 7500, 7500E, 7600,
8000, 48000, and Brocade DCX.
On page 248 in step 3, add the Brocade 8000 to the first list of switch models. The paragraph
should read as follows:
Brocade 200E, 300, 4012, 4016, 4018, 4020, 4024, 4100, 4900, 5000, 5100, 5300, 7500,
7500E, 7600, and 8000: Use the following syntax:
urouteshow [portnumber][, domainnumber]
Chapter 11, Implementing an Interoperable Fabric
Under the heading “Feature support and interoperability” on page 254, add the following row to
Table 70:
Under the heading “Supported hardware” on page 258, add the following after the first paragraph:
McDATA Fabric mode and McDATA Open Fabric mode are not supported on the Brocade 8000.
Feature Support Notes
Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) No McDATA Fabric mode and McDATA Open Fabric mode
are not supported on the Brocade 8000.
