In addition, some Fabric OS features are supported on the Brocade 8000, but are supported only
on the FC ports and not on the CEE ports. Table 1 lists the Fabric OS features and indicates
whether the feature is supported, supported only on the FC ports, or not supported.
The remainder of this chapter lists the changes to the Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide that are
needed to support the Brocade 8000. The changes are listed by the chapter names in the Fabric
OS Administrator’s Guide. If a chapter is not listed, then no changes are required to that chapter.
Chapter 1, Getting Started
Under the heading “Password modification” on page 5, add the Brocade 8000 to the other switch
models in the first row in Table 1.
In Table 2 on page 16, the following items in the table should be changed to the following:
• EX_Ports licensing should only be on the local switch.
• Ingress rate limiting licensing should only be on the local switch.
Under the heading “Setting the switch status policy threshold values” on page 33, add the Brocade
8000 to the other switch models in step 3.
