To sign in as a different user:
1. From the Today screen, tap the right or left arrow on the Windows Live Services bar till Windows
Live is displayed.
2. Tap your display name.
3. Tap Menu > Account Options > Switch Windows Live ID.
4. Tap Yes.
5. Proceed with the setup wizard to sign in.
SMS cell broadcast
Short Message Service Cell Broadcast (SMS-CB) is a mass distribution media that allows messages to
reach multiple mobile phones at once. All the mobile phones present in a network will receive the
message when the message is broadcast. The messages can be sent to specific cells or to a specific
geographical area. It is used to send information, such as local weather, traffic conditions, or other
important or informative information.
SIM Toolkit
SIM Toolkit (STK) consists of a set of commands that are programmed into the SIM card. The toolkit
defines how the card should interact with the outside world and extends the communication protocol
between the card and the handset. It supports various value added services typically provided by the
operator or third party companies.
Power
Using the Power application you can view the amount of battery power remaining. The Power
application also enables you to set the standby period, duration for turning off, and USB charging speed
for your HP iPAQ.
To change power settings:
1. Tap Start > Settings > System > Power.
2. Tap Advanced and select the length of time the HP iPAQ stays on when using battery power or
AC power.
3. Tap USB Charging and select the Use USB Charging check box to enable USB charging.
Select any of the following options:

Fast Charge – Charges at 500 mAh.
ł
Slow Charge – Charges at 100 mAh.
NOTE: Clearing the Turn off device if not used for check box on the Advanced tab will keep your
HP iPAQ on at all times and will drain the battery. For more information to make the battery last long
between charges, see
Battery saving tips on page 19.
Backlight
The Backlight application enables you to view and change the backlight options, such as brightness of
your HP iPAQ.
