Web access feature
Using the Web access feature
The MFP comes equipped with a Web access feature. U the Web access feature to obtain the
following information about the MFP:
● control panel messages
● supplies levels and ordering
● tray configuration
● MFP control panel menu configurations
● MFP configuration page
● product event log
● MFP usage (types of print jobs)
● network configuration and management
● e-mail alerts
You can also use the Web access feature to perform the following print job management
functions that would usually be done at the MFP control panel:
● change MFP settings
● change MFP configuration
● cancel print jobs
To gain access to the Web access feature
Note To use the Web access feature, you must have an IP-based network and a Web browser.
In your Web browser, type the IP address assigned to the MFP. For example, if the MFP IP
address is 192.1.2.3, you would type this address:
http://192.1.2.3
