2) All FMU’s displayed an asterisk (*) to the left of the hose number and prompted,
“HOSE BUSY, SELECT ANOTHER…” when dispenser in use was selected from the
FMU keypad. Indicator to users starting a transaction that a hose cannot be selected
because it is in use.
c. VALIDATE FMU ACCESS WITH PROKEE
®
, SMARTCARD, CREDIT CARD, AND/OR
KEYPAD
1) FMU’s validated authorized access by stepping to next menu prompt. Authorized
Prokee
®
, Smartcard, credit card, or keyless access will allow user to continue after
initially accessing system. Keyless access requires users to press Enter on FMU keypad
to begin access, and then prompts for vehicle or user ID.
2) FMU’s rejected unauthorized access. Unauthorized Prokee, Smartcard, credit card, or
keyless access is rejected.
d. ACTIVATE PRODUCT DISPENSERS. All FMU’s successfully activate appropriate
dispensing hoses after authorized access. When a hose number is offered, then selected,
the appropriate hose is activated.
e. VERIFY SINGLE HOSE AUTHORIZATION. Activate each hose (one hose at a time) in
automatic mode and verify no other hoses will dispense. Insurance against jumper wires
in dispenser carrying power from authorized hose to unauthorized hose. When only one hose
has been selected, only one hose should activate.
f. SIMULTANEOUS TRANSACTIONS. Each FMU allowed simultaneous operation of each
connected dispensing hose. Verification that all connected dispensing hoses are being
separately controlled.
g. VERIFY NO COUNTS DURING DISPENSER RESET. Select COUNT TEST from the
Configuration Menu. Move Automatic/Manual Mode switches to Manual. Verify counts
do not register after the dispenser reset handle is activated. If counts do register,
perform an automated transaction for the applicable hose then query the FMU. Verify
the quantity observed in the query matches the quantity recorded at the dispenser. If
quantities do not match, a pulser with AC control must be installed. Repeat for each
connected hose. 12VDC feed to pulsers is constant. If pump handle detect is set and
configured for START ONLY or START AND END, counts during reset should be thrown out.
If not configured to throw out, other options to prevent pulses during reset must be used.
h. ENCODE, VERIFY, AND REVISE PROKEE
®
S OR SMARTCARDS
1) Prokee
®
or Smartcard for test (if applicable), one for each available product, were
encoded and read data back correctly. Software/encoder transferred database
information into key, then correctly displayed data when read.
2) The Prokee
®
/Smartcard Encoder (if applicable) revised data and read data back
correctly. Prokee
®
/Smartcard containing previously encoded data could be revised with
software and encoder.
i. PROVIDE FOR MANUAL OPERATION. Each FMU functioned normally while selected
dispensers were switched to manual operation. Dispensers switched to the manual
position did not show on the display as being available. Verification that wiring was
landed correctly, and FMU is operating correctly for manual operation.
j. TRANSACTION HANDLING. Transactions for each hose, each day were assigned a
sequential four digit number starting with 0001. Function of FMU firmware to mark each
transaction with a different sequence number. Will identify duplicate transactions if two
transactions have same sequence number.
