Step 5 — Connect power cords
WARNING!
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:
• Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding
plug is an important safety feature.
• Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet
that is easily accessible at all times.
• Do not route the power cord where it can be walked on or
pinched by items placed against it. Pay particular attention to
the plug, electrical outlet, and the point where the cord extends
from the storage system.
The HP ExDS9100 rack comes with the power cords tied to the rack.
Connect the power cords to the HP ExDS9100cx first, then connect the
power cords to the HP ExDS9100c.
IMPORTANT:
If your HP ExDS9100 rack contains more than two storage
blocks, then you must connect all the PDUs to a power source.
Step 6 — Power up the HP ExDS9100c and
HP ExDS9100cx components
Power on the HP ExDS9100cx first, then the HP ExDS9100c.
Step 7 — Discover storage block and validate
firmware versions

Step 8 — Create PSFS filesystems
