CAUTION:
When handling system components, there is a danger to
equipment from electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use proper
anti-static protection at all times:
• Keep the replacement component in the ESD bag until needed.
• Wear an ESD wrist strap grounded to an unpainted surface
of the enclosure.
• Touch an unpainted surface of the enclosure before handling
the component.
• Never touch connector pins.

Before contacting HP, collect the following information:
• Product model names and numbers
• Technical support registration number (if applicable)
• Product serial numbers
• Diagnostic details—Run the exdsmgr escalate command to
produce a diagnostic report (see the HP StorageWorks ExDS9100
Storage System administration guide for more information).
• Operating system type and revision level
• Detailed questions
IMPORTANT:
For warranty purposes, when reporting an issue to HP, provide
the serial number located on the storage block components.

IMPORTANT:
Do not try to install a standard server blade. The
server blade must be an HP ExDS-specific blade;
otherwise the install server command fails
with an invalid blade error message.
