storage command, the array will be re-discovered and appear with a different array number in the

Adding Virtual Connect modules to bays 7 and 8
If you require additional network connectivity, you can add Virtual Connect (VC) modules to bays 7
and 8. At time of this release, there is no standard upgrade kit for an HP ExDS9100 system. Contact
HP if you need to upgrade your system with additional networks.
A reboot of the servers is required when you add additional networks; therefore, HP recommends
that you plan to add Virtual Connect modules during a planned maintenance window.
To add Virtual Connect modules in bays 7 and 8:
NOTE:
The additional VC modules must be same model as existing VC modules.
1. Insert the VC modules into bays 7 and 8.
NOTE:
You must use two modules, even if only one is used.
2. Recable the stacking links. Contact HP technical support for instructions.
3. Run the following command to configure the new Virtual Connect modules:
# exdsmgr add network
4. Run the exdsmgr reconfigure system command to specify the IP addresses of new networks.
Adding memory to server blades
To add memory to server blades:
1. Shut down one server blade. For example, to shut down server blade 16, use the following
command:
# exdsmgr shutdown server 16
2. Run the exdsmgr show server command and before proceeding validate that "Matrix state"
of the server is not-joined.
3. Remove the server blade from the server blade enclosure.
4. Add the desired memory.
5. Reinsert the server blade.
6. Boot the server blade as follows:
# exdsmgr boot server 16
