Adding new server blades
IMPORTANT:
Use only an HP ExDS9100-specific server blade. Do not try to install a standard server blade; otherwise,
the install server command fails with an invalid blade error message, and it will not boot.
The system software installed on a newly installed server blade is the original system software used
to install the existing server blades. If the exdsmgr install update command was used to install
additional or replacement RPMs, these RPMs are not installed on the new server blade. Use the
exds_rpmcheck program to determine which RPMs need to be installed. See Installing RPMs for
more information.
1. On the front of the blade chassis, in the next available server blade bay, remove the blank.
2. Prepare the server blade for installation.
