6 Viewing system status information
Several exdsmgr commands allow you to view the following information about the configuration
and status of your HP ExDS9100 Storage System:
• Configuration, system, or status problems report
• Server blade information
• BladeSystem and interconnect details
• Matrix state
• Array information
• LUN information
• System information
• Filesystem information
• VNFS configuration details
• HTTP service status information
• Alert history information
• Event logs
• Firmware version information
• Performance statistics
Syscheck command
The exdsmgr syscheck command gathers information from the system and presents a report if it
finds any problems. The problems are categorized under the following severities:
• Critical Conditions—The problem is critical to operation of the system and is causing, or has the
potential to cause, some or full failure of the system.
• Warnings—The problem is serious, but the system can likely continue to operate.
The syscheck command reports problems on a fully installed and configured system. If you run
syscheck before the system is fully installed or configured, some of the errors reported might be
due to the incomplete state of the system. However, it is safe to run syscheck at any time. It takes
several minutes to run the syscheck command. HP recommends that you run the command regularly.
Syscheck report categories
Syscheck reports issues under the following categories:
• System—General system issues
• Environmental—Issues connected with power, temperature, status conditions
• Vhosts—Issues connected with virtual hosts
• iLo—Issues connected with connectively to the iLO
• Power—Whether all servers are powered on or not
• Server—Issues connected to server status
