HP StorageWorks 9100 Extreme Data Storage System administration guide V1.0.2 (AN540-96018, February 2010)
Replacement disk drive LED is not illuminated green
When a disk drive is replaced and the LUN is rebuilt, the online/activity LED on the replacement disk
drive might not be illuminated green. However, activity on the disk will cause the online/activity LED
to flicker green. Note that a disk drive could be in use even if the online/activity LED is not illuminated
green.
IMPORTANT:
Do not remove a disk drive unless the fault/UID LED is amber.
See the HP StorageWorks 9100c Extreme Data Storage System user guide for more information about
the LED descriptions.
HP ExDS9100cx GSI LED is amber
If the global service indicator (GSI) light on the front panel of the hard drive drawer is lit amber, there
is a problem with one of the enclosure components such as a power supply, fan, or I/O module.
Occasionally, the GSI light goes amber even though the power supply, fan, or I/O module components
are lit green. In this situation, try swapping out each component one at a time, checking the GSI light
after each replacement. See Replacing components in the HP ExDS9100 Storage System for
replacement instructions.
HP ExDS9100cx drive LEDs are amber after firmware is flashed
If the HP ExDS9100cx drive LEDs are amber after the firmware is flashed, try power cycling the HP
ExDS9100cx again. See Upgrading HP ExDS9100cc, HP ExDS9100cx I/O module, and disk drive
firmware for more power cycling information.
VHTTPD virtual host reports "File does not exist: /mnt/exds_1_1/www"
If the DocumentRoot directive in /etc/httpd.conf points to a non-existent directory, the virtual
hosts associated with the VHTTPD cannot start. The solution is to correct the DocumentRoot directive
and restart Apache on every server.
