Tape Drive Interface LED Problems
Table 19 lists the corrective actions for tape drive interface LED problems. If the
problem persists, contact your authorized service provider.

ON OFF Drive power fail. Toggle the hot-plug tape drive
switch to clear the condition. If
this is unsuccessful, contact your

OFF Flashing SCSI bus
incompatible
components.
This indicates an LVD/HVD
incompatibility. Make sure all
components are LVD.
OFF OFF No power to tape
drive interface.
Make sure the hot-plug tape
drive switch is on. Reseat the
tape drive. Make sure the
library is powered on and the
correct number of tape drives is
configured.
Flashing ON Drive unhealthy Make sure the drive leader is in
place and then reseat the tape
drive. If problem persists,
contact your authorized service
provider.
Flashing Flashing Drive inserted, in
the process of
becoming ready.
This is normal after the library
or tape drive power is turned
on for a short period of time. If
the problem persists, contact
your authorized service
provider.
Flashing OFF Microbridge
incompatibility.
