Component Description
(1) Battery release latches (2) Release the battery from the battery bay.
(2) Battery bay Holds the battery.
(3) Vents (7) Enable airflow to cool internal components.
NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool internal
components and prevent overheating. It is normal for the internal
fan to cycle on and off during routine operation.
(4) SIM slot (select models only) Contains a wireless subscriber identity module (SIM). The SIM slot
is located inside the battery bay.
(5) Hard drive bay and memory module
compartment
Holds a 1.8-inch hard drive and contains an expansion memory
module slot.
NOTE: Your computer has one hard drive, either 1.8-inch or 2.5-
inch, or your computer may have two hard drives (1.8-inch and 2.5-
inch). If your computer has one hard drive, the location of the hard
drive varies.
(6) Speakers (2) Produce sound.
