footnote 7 - Hardware RAID is not supported on Linux systems; this includes the Promise SATA RAID Card, Onboard SATA Chipset RAID, Adaptec 2120S SCSI RAID Card, LSI 20320 A-R
SCSI Card, Onboard SCSI Chipset RAID. The Linux kernel, with built-in software RAID, provides excellent functionality and performance. It is a good alternative to hardware-based RAID.
