Stopping and Removing a PC Card

CAUTION: To prevent loss of work or an unresponsive system,
stop a PC Card before removing it.

An inserted PC Card uses power even when it is not in use. To
conserve power, stop a PC Card when you are not using it.
1. Close all applications and complete all activities that are
supported by the PC Card.
2. To stop a PC Card, select the Safely Remove Hardware icon
in the system tray, then follow the instructions on the screen.
(To display the Safely Remove Hardware icon, select in the
system tray the icon for Show Hidden Icons.)
3. To release the PC Card, press the PC Card eject button
