Display of a Fibre Channel Tape Controller

The Fibre Channel Fault Isolation Utility displays detailed information about

any Fibre Channel Tape Controller connected to the FC-AL. The figure below

shows a Fibre Channel Tape Controller selected, with detailed information

about this tape controller displayed to the right. A Fibre Channel Disk Array

Controller is also shown on a separate FC-AL.

The information displayed in the data field includes:

■ Vendor ID: Identifies the vendor of the target controller

■ Product ID: Identifies the product

■ Product Revision: Revision level of the product

■ World Wide Name: A unique identifier in a Fibre Channel system,

different for each Fibre Channel Component.
