Compaq User Diagnostics
With the introduction of Compaq User Diagnostics XE Web Based element
level diagnostics is available throughout the enterprise. A new version 2.03H
incorporating the TL895 Tape Library is available for download at
http://www.compaq.com/storageworks.
This browser or control panel-based utility provides a quick check of storage
devices including serial numbers, firmware versions, status checks, and even
firmware downloading for future enhancements.
Compaq Diagnostics for Windows Web Enabler
Utility
The Compaq Diagnostics Utility is a service tool designed to allow you to
view information about your computer’s hardware and software configuration
and perform diagnostic testing.
Compaq Diagnostics also takes advantage of the Internet and Intranet
technologies prevalent in the industry and participates as part of the Web
Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) initiative. Currently, the Compaq
Diagnostics Utility provides the following executable components: For
Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 95/98:
■ CPQDiag.ExeWindows based inspect and diagnostic utility.
■ CPQDiagR.Exeon-line configuration tool and Hyper Media
Managed Object (HMMO).
The hardware and software configuration of the computer provides insight into
potential system issues. The Compaq Diagnostics Utility delivers this critical
data, and addresses customer requirements for enhanced service tools and
higher computer availability through its comprehensive feature design:

computer off-line or reboot the server in order to use the Compaq
Diagnostics Utility
