Optical Drive
The optical drive is located under the drive access panel on the left side of the computer (viewed from
behind). It is secured with one Torx screw.

To remove the optical drive:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to Disassemble the Computer
on page 29).
2. Remove the center access panel (see
Center Access Panel on page 32).
3. Remove the drive access panel (see
Drive Access Panel on page 35).
4. Remove the black Torx screw (1) that secures the drive to the computer.
