28 Removing and Replacing a Hard Disk Drive
Replacing a Hard Disk Drive
1 Slide the replacement hard disk drive into the bay.
2 Align the screw holes on the side of the hard drive with
the holes marked “HDD” on the bay.
3 Attach the two screws to secure the hard disk drive to
the bay.
4 Attach the power and data connectors to the back of
the drive.
NOTE: The replacement hard drive may not look exactly
the same as the original drive due to different
manufacturers or models. Hewlett-Packard always provides
quality parts that meet or exceed your original computer
specifications.
