29 MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Director & Multilayer Fabric Switches Release Notes
Problem Description: The P6300/P6500, EVA4400/6400/8400, MSA2000 G1, MSA2000 G2, and
P2000 FC G3 storage arrays may display as servers in the Fabric Manager or Data Center Network
Manager topology diagram or host ports list.
Workaround: Perform the following steps to change the display of the array from a host icon to a storage
icon.
1. Log into Fabric Manager or Data Center Network Manager
2. Under “Physical Attributes” open “End Devices”
3. Select “Hosts” and click on the “Enclosures” tab in the Information Pane
4. Under “Device Type” for the desired device, in Fabric Manager select “Disk”, or for Data Center
Network Manager select “Storage”
5. Save changes by selecting the “Apply Changes” icon on the top left corner of the Information
Panel
Problem Description: HP C-class fibre channel mezzanine cards may not log into the embedded C-series
fibre channel switch at the supported speed and mode.
Workaround: Set the internal switch port from auto to the supported speed and mode.
Problem Description: The SN1000E 16Gb Emulex HBA properties may display as “Unknown” vendor
in Data Center Network Manager Host Ports list.
Workaround: Enabling the FDMI in Emulex driver by setting the driver parameter EnableFDMI to 1 will
allow Data Center Network Manager to display the vendor name.
Problem Description: The HP 81B/82B/41B/42B PCIe FC HBA may display as switches in Data
Center Network Manager Switches list.
Workaround: Right click the entry in the switch list and select Purge, then click the refresh icon in the task
bar.
