Chapter 2 System Messages and Recovery Procedures for the Cisco MDS 9000 Family
Error Message SVC-3-NODE_ERR_MSG: (SVC [dec]/[dec] SS_ERR_CFG_SSH_KEY_REMOVED )
Attempt to delete SSH key (no effect) [chars].
Explanation The svctask rmsshkey command has been invoked. This command has no effect in
SAN Volume Controller for Cisco MDS 9000, but is retained for compatibility.
Recommended Action No action is required.

Error Message SVC-3-NODE_ERR_MSG: (SVC [dec]/[dec] SS_NODERR_CR_START ) Cluster
recovery required [chars].
Explanation The node has detected that cluster recovery is required and is waiting for human
intervention to continue.
Recommended Action Contact your customer support representative for assistance.

Explanation Node data is readable but corrupted. The node has been rejected from the cluster.
Recommended Action 1. Reinstall the code on the node. The node will have to be removed and added
back to the cluster. 2. Ensure that the software is at the latest level on the cluster. If not, upgrade the
cluster and if necessary repeat Step 1 with the latest level of code. 3. If the error continues, ask your
customer service representative for assistance. It may be necessary to replace the Caching Services
Module.
