Caveats
Symptom: Smart zoning guidelines are needed in the Cisco MDS 9000 Release Notes for Cisco
MDS NX-OS Release 5.2(6).
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCub83043
Symptom: The IOA tune lrtp-retx-timeout command is not reinitialized after an IOA failure.
This symptom can occur if the tune lrtp-retx-timeout command is set to a nondefault value and
there is an IOA port software failure. The default for the tune lrtp-retx-timeout command is
2500 ms. Any configured value that is different than the default is not reinitialized properly after a
failure.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: The first SSH login password fails.
This issue applies only to SSH logins on Cisco MDS 9100 and 9200 Series switches, and includes
CLI and SNMP logins.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: When querying snmpgetnext for those entities, the correct interface index is not
retrieved.

16777216 is the interface fc 1/1 and it should be used on all queries.
This symptom might be seen in later releases than Cisco NX-OS Release 4.2(7), and in Cisco
NX-OS Release 5.0(4), Release 5.2(2) and Release 5.2(6)
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: The active zone set for a VSAN that is in enhanced mode and configured as Interop mode
1 was deactivated after ISSU from Cisco NX-OS Release 4.2(3) to Release 5.0(7).
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCuc55348
Symptom: If the QoS attribute is configured with a priority of medium or high in a zone, an “attibute
not present” error appears when you try to remove the QoS attribute using Cisco DCNM.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
