The following issues are known issues for this product. ● Windows Software ● Product Communication ● Hardware/Firmware ● Miscellaneous Windows Software ● Cause: HP ToolboxFX uses .NET technologies which require that the Microsoft .NET Framework be installed on the user's computer. When the HP ToolboxFX software installer runs, it will silently install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. This will allow HP ToolboxFX to run, but there are some known issues with .NET Framework 2.
the product's address. If communication errors are observed, attempt to print a test page to the product from the computer. If a page cannot be printed, it might be that the address or port for the printer-driver needs to be configured correctly. In these cases, it is often necessary for you to reboot the computer after re-configuring the printer-driver in order for HP ToolboxFX to resume communication with the product. ● Cause: The HPPUSG.
MinUsbReady=3 RecUsbReady=3 Hardware/Firmware ● Cause: CPR occurs when several color planes are misaligned. For example, if green text is printed, green is the combination of cyan and yellow toner. When the two color planes, cyan and yellow, are slightly misaligned it looks as if the print is fuzzy or ghosted. Solution: Verify that paper type is set to represent correct paper used. This is particularly important with envelopes and small and thick paper.
Solution: Do not enable “Override out”. Override out can only be enabled from the product's control panel (System Setup>Print Quality>Replace Supplies>Override out). ● Cause: This can only occur if there are two yellow or two magenta cartridges installed in the product, and one of them is installed in the cyan slot. Solution: Verify that the correct cartridges are installed in the correct locations. From top to bottom the cartridge order is black (K), yellow (Y), cyan (C), and magenta (M).
This document discusses the features that function correctly, and those that don't, through the IP discovery and rediscovery process for the product.
