Uninstall the printer driver or the HP Send Fax Driver by using the
Windows Add or Remove Programs feature
If the printer driver or the HP Send Fax Driver was installed by the HP Driver Installation Utility (HP DIU),
perform the following to uninstall the driver:
NOTE: You do not need the CM4540 MFP printing-system software CD to use this uninstall method.
NOTE: To uninstall the software, you must log on with Administrator privileges.
1. Close all programs.
2. Windows XP and Windows Server 2003: On the Start menu, click Control Panel, and
then double-click the Add/Remove programs.

Windows Vista: On the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then under the Programs
menu click Uninstall a program.

3. Click Change or Remove Programs, select the component you want to remove, and then
click Change/Remove. The following components might appear in the list of programs:
