Uninstall the printer driver or the MFP Send Fax Driver using Windows Add
or Remove Programs feature
If the printer driver or the MFP Send Fax driver was installed using the HP Driver Installation Utility
(HPDIU), perform the following to uninstall the driver:
NOTE: Using this uninstall method, you do not need the HP LaserJet M9040 MFP or HP LaserJet
M9050 MFP printing-system software CD.
NOTE: To uninstall the software, you must log on with Administrator privileges.
1. Close all programs.
2. Windows 2000: On the Start menu, click the Settings option, click Control Panel option, and
then double-click the Add/Remove programs option.

Windows XP and Windows Server 2003: On the Start menu, click the Control Panel option, and
then double-click the Add/Remove programs option.
- or -
Windows Vista: On the Start menu, click the Control Panel option, and then under the
Programs menu click the Uninstall a program option.

3. Click Change or Remove Programs, select the component you want to remove, and then click
Change/Remove. The following components might appear in the list of programs:

●
HP LaserJet M9040 MFP and HP LaserJet M9050 MFP PCL 6 driver
