1. Made from recycled paper. Actual proportions of recycled content will vary depending on geographic
location.
2. Composite consists of polyethylene terepthalate (PET), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), aluminum foil, and
polyurethane adhesive.
Hp designs its packaging to be recyclable where practical. The recyclability of the packaging alone,
when not used to return a cartridge for recycling, depends on the availability of municipal recycling
programs used.
· The paperboard box and packaging inserts are recyclable through most municipal solid waste
recycling programs where recycling programs exist. Paperboard recycling programs may not
exist in your area.
· Paper-pulp molded end caps which protect the cartridge if dropped, are recyclable where
cardboard is recycled. Cardboard recycling programs may not exist in your area.
· Monochrome toner cartridges are shipped in polyethylene bags that can be recycled where
polyethylene bag recycling is available. Polystyrene recycling programs may not exist in your
area. Where clear bags used for shipping some products are a composite of several materials,
they cannot be recycled.

countries, HP is a member of a packaging recovery scheme. Some countries are operating a
“Green Dot” system as indicated.
