Radiance backlight keyboard and proximity sensor
The radiance backlight keyboard feature, turned on at the factory, uses proximity sensor technology
to automatically light up the keyboard when the sensors detect your presence in front of the
computer. The proximity sensors, also turned on at the factory, automatically turn the radiance
backlight keyboard feature on or off based on your location.

To turn the radiance backlight keyboard feature off or on, press f5.
NOTE: When this feature is on, the light on the f5 key is on.

To switch between low, medium, and high brightness levels, press and hold f5 in combination
with either the up arrow key or the down arrow key.

To change the proximity sensor settings, from the Start screen, type p, and then select HP
Proximity Sensor from the list of applications.
