Viewing NPIV port configuration information

Use this parameter to set the number of virtual N_Port_IDs per switch to a value between 0
and 126 multiplied by the number of ports you specify when setting this parameter. The
default setting is 16 multiplied by the number of ports specified. If no ports are specified then
all ports on the switch are used.
ATTENTION
The switchDisable command disables the switch and stops all traffic flowing to and from the
switch. Perform this command during a scheduled maintenance.
1. Connect to the switch and log in using an account assigned to the admin role.
2. Enter the switchDisable command.
3. Enter the configure command.
4. Press enter accepting the defaults, until you reach F-Port Login Parameters. Type yes or y at
the prompt.
5. Select the maximum logins per switch and press enter to keep the parameter.
6. Select the maximum logins per port and press enter to keep the parameter.
7. Enter Ctrl-C to exit out of the configure command.
8. Enter the switchEnable command to enable the switch.
Example of setting the logins
The following example shows the configuration of the Maximum logins per port and Maximum
logins per switch parameters:

Viewing NPIV port configuration information
1. Connect to the switch and log in using an account assigned to the admin role.
2. Enter the portCfgShow command to view the switch ports information.
The following example shows whether or not a port is configured for NPIV:
