Removal and Installation - Encoder Strip
Encoder Strip
The Encoder Strip removal procedure for the T1100/T1100ps/T610 and T1120/T1120ps printers
is the same.
The part numbers are different. For information about the T1100/T1100ps/T610 Encoder Strip
ser
vice parts, see
Scan-Axis Assemblies (T1100/T1100ps/T610) on page 5-20.
For information about the T1120/T1120ps Encoder Strip service parts, see

Removal
1. Remove the Right Cover on page 6-27.
2. Remove the
Left Cover on page 6-30.
3. Remove the Encoder Strip, spring, and
att
achment nut. See page
6-96 or 6-99
depending on the model.
4. Use the spanner provided in the tool kit to
remove the 13 mm locking nut that secures
the Encoder Strip to the Encoder Strip
Spring.
5. Remove the Encoder Strip Spring.
When you finish installing or replacing this component, you must perform the
necessary Service Calibrations. To find which calibrations you must perform,
see Service Calibration Guide to Removal and Installation
on page 6-5.
Switch off the printer and remove the power cable.
