Service Tests (Diagnostics)

8 The Front Panel prompts you to confirm that the carriage supply LED is

switched on

9 Open the Window and verify that the LED is on. The LED can be seen

thro

ugh the slots in the carriage cover.

10 Press OK if the LED is

on. If the LED is not on or use the Arrow keys to

select NO and press OK..

11 The printer then continues the Scan Axis test. As the test executes the Front

nel displays the following messages:

 Booting Up Carriage.

 Starting SVS Motor.

 Getting Part Number.

 Getting Scan Axis Size

 Preparing SVS.

 Prog slow PWM scan.

 Moving Carriage middle.

12 The Front Panel prompts you to confirm that the Carriage has moved

eys to select whether or not the motor moved the carriage.

14 Press OK to c

15 The Front Panel prompts you to confirm that the Carriage has moved to the

middle p

osition.

16 Use the Arrow keys to select whether or not the carriage has moved to the

middle.

17 Press OK to c

ontinue.

18 The printer then continues the Scan Axis test. As the test executes the Front

nel displays the following messages:
