3. Remove any visible lint or dust from each of the
feed rollers and the separation pad using
compressed air or a clean lint-free cloth
moistened with warm water.
4. Close the document-feeder cover.
NOTE: Verify that the latch on the top of the
document-f
eeder cover is completely closed.
If the problem persists, check the document feeder separation pad and rollers for damage or wear, and
replac
e them if necessary.
NOTE: New rollers have a rough surface. As rollers wear, they become smooth.
Send to a dierent fax machine

ry sending the fax to a dierent fax machine. If the fax quality is better, the problem is related to the initial
recipient's fax machine settings or supplies status.
Check the sender's fax machine
Ask the sender to try sending from a dierent fax machine. If the fax quality is better, the problem is with the
sender's fax machine. If a dierent fax machine is unavailable, ask the sender to consider making the
following changes:
