Enabling and disabling switch passwords
Fabric Manager stores switch passwords to the server by default.
To enable or disable switch passwords from being saved to the server:
1. Select Configuration > FM Options.
The Options dialog box opens (see Figure 28).
2. Expand User specific and then select General.

3. Enable switch passwords to be saved to the server by checking the Persist switch passwords check box.
Disable switch passwords from being saved to the server by unchecking the box.
4. Click OK.
Changing the administrator password on multiple switches
You can set the administrator admin account password on multiple non-secure switches simultaneously by
using the Configuration menu in Fabric Manager. Other accounts with administrator-level privileges, such
as root or factory, are excluded. You cannot use a RADIUS server for authentication on a selected switch.
You cannot set the admin account on any switches in secure mode. See ”Changing the admin security
password” on page 192 for information about using passwords in secure fabrics.
To set the admin account password on multiple switches:
1. Select Configuration > Set “admin” Account Passwords.
The Set “adminAccount Passwords window opens (see Figure 29).
