5. Click Browse to locate the gping executable and then click Open.
The gping application requires an IP address as an argument. This example uses the IP address of the
switch.
6. Click Edit, select %IP%, and then click OK.
Your Add Application window should look similar to that shown in Figure 149.

7. Click OK.
8. In the Configure Applications for Switch window, click Apply.
9. In the SAN Elements tab, right-click the switch you just configured and select Management Application
> Launch > gpin.
The gping window for that switch opens, (see Figure 150).

Launching Advanced Web Tools Switch Explorer
This example explains how to launch the Advanced Web Tools Switch Explorer from the Fabric Manager
Management Application context menu:
1. In the SAN Elements tab, right-click the switch from which you want to run Switch Explorer.
2. Select Management Application > Configure.
The Configure Applications for Switch window opens (see Figure 146 on page 214).
3. Click Add.
The Add Application window opens (see Figure 147 on page 214).
4. In the Application Name edit dialog box, enter WebTools SwitchExplorer.
5. Select the URL radio button.
6. In the URL edit dialog box, enter http://%IP%.
Switch Explorer requires the IP address of the switch to display. Your window should look similar to that
shown in Figure 151.
