3. Optional: Select a configuration and click Edit to modify it.
The Edit CUP Port Connectivity Configuration-Active Configuration dialog box opens (see Figure 134
on page 202).
You can use the Edit CUP Port Connectivity Configuration-Active Configuration dialog box to:
Block a port: Click the check box in the Block column corresponding to the port you want to block,
or click the Block All check box to block all ports.
Prohibit a port: click the Prohibit All check box to prohibit all ports from talking to one another, or
click the check box in the Prohibit column corresponding to the port you want to prohibit from
talking to other ports. All the affected ports then display the ( ) icon. If you then click one of the
( ) icons in a cell for that port (in the matrix), the prohibit check box is then unchecked. You can
also uncheck a prohibit check box to clear the selected port to talk to all the other ports again.
Analyze zone conflicts: Click Analyze Zone Conflicts to see whether there are any problems
between the PCDM and the currently enabled zone configuration. For example, if in the PDCM port
n1 can talk to port n2 even though the ports are not in the same zone, there is a zone conflict and
the background cells are shaded red. Any port connections that cannot communicate with each
other due to a zone conflict are displayed with a red background. The Analyze Zone Conflicts tool
analyzes only zones created by port zoning against the switch port zoning (not WWN).
Activate the current configuration: Click Activate to activate the configuration that is currently
displayed.
A confirmation dialog box opens asking whether you want always to save the active
configuration. The first configuration is always saved as the default configuration (IPL).
•Click Yes to save the current configuration file as the default configuration when the switch is
rebooted. Although other configurations can be deleted, the active default configuration cannot.
You must activate another configuration and make it the default first.
•Click No to save the current configuration without making it the default.
•Click Refresh to receive up-to-date information
•Click Cancel to close the dialog box.
•Click Save As to save the configuration as a file. The configuration name must be in all capital
letters.
