202 FICON and CUP
To identify switches with FICON Management Server (FMS) mode enabled:
1. Select a fabric from the SAN Elements tab.
2. Click Switches.
The Switches view opens.
3. Look for the value in the FMS Mode column in the Switches view:
True: Displayed for switches that support FICON/CUP and have FMS Mode enabled.
False: Displayed for switches that support FICON/CUP but do not have FMS Mode enabled.
Not supported: Displayed for switches that do not support FICON/CUP.
NOTE: The FMS Mode is also displayed in the switch At-A-Glance window in the Overview view.
Activating the current port connectivity configuration
This section shows how to make the current port connectivity configuration active immediately, or to save it
to be used later. If you save the configuration for future use, see ”Activating a stored port connectivity
configuration” on page 203 for the activation procedure.
NOTE: You can activate the current port connectivity configuration only for FMS-enabled switches running
Fabric OS 4.4.0 or later.
To view the current port connectivity configuration for an FMS-enabled switch:
1. Select a switch from the SAN Elements tab that has FMS mode enabled. See ”Identifying switches with
FMS enabled” on page 201 for additional information.
2. In the Content pane, right-click in the At-A-Glance window of the switch in the Overview view and
select Port Address Configuration > Active from the context menu.
The Edit CUP Port Connectivity Configuration-Active Configuration dialog box opens (see Figure 134).
