When you rely on your IT for critical data and applications, the last thing you need is for power supply disruptions to shut you down. It’s the last thing you’ll have to
worry about with HP’s proven Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). HP UPSs set the industry standard for power protection. Each system is rigorously pre-tested to counter
anything from power fluctuations to nationwide blackouts. In other words, reliable back-up power that keeps your business running, even when nothing else is.

Uninterrupted power
and protection
Non-stop power. Non-stop performance.
That’s what you’re assured of with HP Power
Protection. All you need to do, is remember
a few simple steps to ensure you get all the
power you need for your growing business:
Put Power Management
Software in place
This helps minimise the risk of data loss
when turning off your system. How? Power
Management Software allows you to build
a delay into automatic shutdowns.
This ensures that your system saves all your
data and closes applications properly before
shutting down.
Do not load the UPS past 80%
The initial rush of current to power your
server and storage systems could cause an
overload. Pushing your UPS capacity to the
max also taxes its runtime prematurely. So
even though you can load a HP UPS up to
100%, our advice is, don’t.
Avoid unnecessary shutdowns
by configuring a delay
Yet another reason to set a delay into
automatic shutdowns. If something triggers
your system to suddenly switch to battery,
a delay would provide enough time for
your system to check if utility power returns.
If power does come back in time, the
shutdown will be immediately aborted and
your system stays up and running.
