Unsupported card The card in the
memory slot is
not a memory
card or is not a
supported
memory card.
Ensure that the memory
card is the proper type for
your camera. (See Storage
on page 95.)
Card is wrong
format
The card is an
unsupported
format, such as
FAT32.
Press OK (this should
display the Format Card
screen) or format the
memory card by using the
Format Card option in the
Delete menu. This will
delete all data on the card.
The card requires
formatting
The memory card
needs to be
formatted.
Press OK (this should
display the Format Card
screen) or format the
memory card by using the
Format Card option in the
Delete menu. This will
delete all data on the card.
Card is
unreadable
The memory card
is not a
supported card
or the card is
corrupted.
Ensure that the memory
card is the proper type for
your camera. (See Storage
on page 95.) If it is the
proper type, it is probably
corrupted. Replace the
memory card.
The card is locked The locking tab
on the side of the
memory card is
in the locked
position.
Switch the locking tab to
the unlocked position or
insert a new card.
